Foreign aid

Immediate aid

The immediate aid is limited to relief measures which have an effect in the crisis region as far as possible within 48 hours. Often a large number of injured persons have to be cared for by ambulance teams of experienced volunteers, who are specially prepared and equipped for assignments overseas. Besides the provision of relief supplies such as tents and blankets the member organisations, for example, also deploy teams of rescue dogs in case of earthquakes to search for people buried in the rubble.
