European First Aid Certificate

The European First Aid Certificate certifies the successful participation in a basic training in first aid.

Lives can be saved in emergency situations through first measures using the acquired skills.

They are further suitable for preventing a deterioration of the situation for persons concerned until further treatment can be provided by personnel trained in emergency medicine or remedial treatment can be initiated by doctors.

The European First Aid certificate confirms a comparable quality of certain, respectively defined, first aid training courses of the member organisations of SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL. Comparable national requirements of individual European countries for the skills of trained persons for providing first aid in emergency situations can thus be seen as satisfied and certified.

The respectively defined teaching programmes feature the comparable characteristics determined by the European specialist advisory council for first aid training of the member organisations the "European Committee for First Aid Education (EC First Aid)".

The contents and execution of the respective teaching programmes and the qualification of the assigned teachers is carried out by guaranteeing jointly determined standards, which are described in joint principles for first aid training.
